Grinning Hyena - Recycled Paper Sticker
- SIZING:
This sticker is fairly big, it is 4 x 3.5" inches and is made with a very smooth matte weather proof material that doesn’t shine or reflect at all
- This Sticker is made with recycled Kraft paper, it will hold up on most surfaces but due to the nature of textured Kraft paper, it most likely won’t last as long on surfaces that tend to get very hot or wet, or that might get a lot of friction.
Heres some steps on how to keep your stickers looking brand new for longer:
STICKING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. IF PUTTING ON A SURFACE WITH OIL PAINT: Repaint surfaces that have been painted with oil-based paint. Stickers do not adhere well to surfaces with paint containing Teflon or silicon. Allow the paint to dry and cure for three weeks before attaching stickers.
2. Clean walls, windows, cand other hard surfaces with a sponge or soft cloth and hot water mixed with liquid soap. This will remove dirt and grease, which inhibit sticker adhesion. Rinse the surface and wait for it to dry completely before applying the sticker. If placing a sticker on a paper surface, blow away dust or brush it away with a dry, clean cloth.
3. Place your sticker on a smooth, dry surface that's free of rust, paint bumps, cracks or wrinkles. Apply the sticker in a shady area when the surface and air temperatures are between 66 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit.
WHERE TO NOT PUT STICKERS:
- Do Not put this sticker on a car
- Porous Surfaces: Stucco and similarly textured surfaces. Nearly all high-quality vinyl stickers utilize a pressure-sensitive adhesive. This means that if you can't get a smooth, even connection between sticker and surface, that sticker will fall off.
- Fabric: Stickers might stick for 20 minutes or so on fabric, but any movement, flex, and moisture will likely make your sticker fall off and blow away in the wind.
- Cardboard: At first glance, cardboard might seem like an okay idea. Unfortunately, the natural fibers and texture of cardboard and environmental factors like dust can play havoc with your stickers and cause premature separation. Only stickers such as shipping labels are meant for sticking to cardboard.
- Extreme Curves: Complex, heavy curves will immediately reject your sticker at every turn. Curves create tension, and tension causes stickers to stretch and pull right off their new home. Instead, go for mellow curves with lots of transition—like on a helmet. Steer clear of stickering sports balls or circular objects.
BEST PLACES TO STICK RECYCLED PAPER STICKERS:
1. Books & Journals (Leather is ok too!)
2. Plastic (Laptops, binders, light switches, remotes, and plant pots are just a few ideas)
3. Wood, wood is fine too, as long as the wood has a smooth finish on it and isn't dusty, dirty, or porous!
4. Metal, they stick great to metal, as long as its not rusty or extremely hot!
